This magazine is for the firearm with the mag release on the bottom of the magwell NOT the trigger guard. There are multiple versions of the P7 pistols & magazines. The original pistols were called HK PSP, later renamed the P7 PSP and P7. When HK brought the P7 into the US a new version was made to comply with requests of police departments to move the magazine release behind the trigger similar to other American guns. Thus the newer version of the pistol was introduced and named the P7M8 series. Because the magazines release from different spots the PSP magazines and P7M8 magazines can not be swapped.
