This holster also features a Universal Belt Loop that mounts on a 2″ or 2.25″ Duty Belt. With no snap, the Safariland 6280 holsters SLS design allows for a smoother single-motion draw and greater protection against attempted weapon takeaways. The hood can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. Hello, this is for a new right handed Safariland suede lined tactical drop-leg/thigh duty holster. They only fit full size 4.13″ or 4.41″ H&K USP models in 9/40/45 and with the Insight UTL light attached. Your firearm will not fit properly without that light attached, it will be sloppy in the holster. Because there is no level 3 retention, you must have the correct barrel length(4.13″ or 4.41″) with the correct light attached for this holster to be of any use. As far as I know, the Insight UTL for the USP is the only compatible light but there may be others. If unsure of what your barrel length is, please take the time to measure it so you will know if this will work for you. Please see pics for more details. Any questions, feel free to ask. Price is per each individual holster. Says it’s N/A for D. Only which I guess is not available or not applicable for the double action only USP’s. Possibly why is because the hammer may stick out a touch more on those models, I don’t know for sure though. It features a belt loop designed for a duty belt. Offset design allows for the user to wear a jacket or parka without interfering with a fast draw. Active Serpa and adjustable passive retention gives the user the safety of Level II retention. This unique holster design allows you to forget old-fashioned thumb breaks that slow your draw and complicate re-holstering. The patented SERPA lock engages the trigger guard as you holster the pistol and wont let go until you release it. The release is made using your normal drawing motion, with the trigger finger beside the holster body. As your trigger finger naturally comes to rest on the SERPA locks release mechanism, simply push the mechanism as you draw the weapon and it releases the gun for a smooth, fast draw. No awkward use of a middle finger release or thumb break to interfere with a full combat grip, the SERPA lock lets you draw the weapon quickly while establishing a full grip from start to finish. Unlike thumb breaks, which can sometimes be difficult to fasten one-handed, the SERPA lock allows you to re-holster quickly and securely every time, using only one hand. Level 3 retention holsters have long been the standard for law enforcement duty use. The problem has been that many holsters that provide this level of protection are clumsy to operate and can prevent the officer from drawing his weapon rapidly under stress.
