The 6360 ALS/SLS Mid-ride duty holster is sturdy, lightweight, and provides an extra measure of security while on patrol. The ALS (Automatic Locking System) builds on the foundation of the SLS (Self Locking System) to offer Level III Retention. In addition to the SLS, Safariland’s patented ALS locks the firearm into place immediately upon holstering, while the rotating hood and tension device ensure added security. The 6360 holster can be easily upgraded to Level IV Retention using the optional Sentry attachment. The 6360 ALS/SLS Mid-ride is constructed of durable SafariLaminate and is lined with suede to protect the gun? S sights and finish. Standard double leg strap and leg shroud with mounting holes for optional accessories. The Safariland Model 6004 Tactical holster is built for comfort as well as functionality. This Tactical holster features the Self Locking System (SLST) rotating hood system which is so well suited for the tactical situations encountered today. The hood on the Model 6004 holster can only be released by being simultaneously pushed down and rotated forward and actually becomes more secure when upward force is applied. The STX Tactical finish of the holster is rugged, protecting the gun in scrape, scratch and dent incidents. Molded sight track and soft SafariSuedeT protect the gun’s sights and finish. Special features of the model 6004 are the detachable buckle on the leg strap, the double lag strap and the leg shroud, which provides both comfort and stability. The leg harness is lightweight and simple to operate. Most holsters I sell are molded from the exact model which makes errors nonexistent. Different brands require more break in than others. Breaking in a good leather holster is mandatory for it to function; when it is new you may not be able to draw the firearm from it as quickly as you might need it. After you have checked the holster for suitability and broken it in correctly, then your can bet your life that it will hold the gun securely, protect the gun from inadvertent access, and allow you to get the gun quickly when you need it. There are plenty of articles online for breaking in a leather holster. I get many messages about the thumb snap (if applicable). The thumb snap is difficult to get snapped on many holsters when you first get it. You have to work leather. Bottom line, if you get it and it is not fitting the high percentage of time is that you have not seated it fully or worked it fully. Once again, Thanks -Mike. LEATHER HOLSTERS: One of the common messages I get is about how tight a leather holster is when you first get it. You have to break in a leather holster. Some holster makers are able to get close to perfection but you usually pay 3 digit prices for those. One method I enjoy is wrapping the pistol, unloaded, in a plastic wrap or bag and stuffing that into the holster overnight or for a few days. Thanks for looking, Big Mike.
