H K Mumford Leather Medicine Case Late 1800’s
I kept it on a bookshelf in my home since the 1980s, then packed it away in a closet for the past 15 years. We are consolidating multple households and I think someone else might like to enjoy adding this piece to their collection. All of the vials and bottle are empty but most of them have hand-written labels on them for medications of the last century such laudanum. A couple of hand written labels fell off and I put them in the empty area. There are a total of 24 brown bottles and 18 vials. They are all empty. Brown bottles have air bubbles in the glass. Some have corks in them. The cork is starting to decompose. The leather case is 10″x61/2″. The latch still works. It looks like the handle broke at some point and was replaced with a strip of metal.
