Hardened steel backs on all the bearings to improve the support of the bearing lining and assist with bearing retention in the housing. Increased crush for improved bearing retention. Elimination of flash plating on the back of the bearings to improve heat transfer through the bearings and to maximize the grip between the bearings and its housing. Increased eccentricity to compensate for crankshaft and rod big end bore distortion at high rpm and to assist in the formation of hydrodynamic oil films. 3/4 grooved Main Bearings to optimize bearing load carrying surface area and oil flow to the connecting rod bearings. Own a very unique and rare wardrobe steamer trunk owned by Singer, Actress, Tony & Emmy Award Winner, Screen Actors Guild Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Pearl Bailey. Such an amazing conversation piece and a beautiful piece of history. This Herkert & Meisel Trunk was made in St Louis, MO. It stands 61 tall and has many vintage travel stickers marking some of her tour stops such as Cairo, Tel Aviv, and Baghdad. The latches are in working condition. The interior has 2 hanging rods which possibly held her furs and stage costumes, and a wooden drawers. The interior has a very musty smell and will need to be aired out. Very sturdy piece Circa 1940s. I will drop it off at one of those locations with your information for them to bill directly to you.
