HECKLER & KOCH HK M27 IAR CHALLENGE COIN. HK M27 IAR (Infantry Automatic Rifle). Coin Commemorates the M27 IAR program of the Marines. Not sure how many coin exist today, but the coin depicted has laser etching on the edges (see photos). Coin size- is 1.75 inches (45mm). A must have to an HK collector. Army and used by many other ground warfare forces of the world, the AR-15-based HK416 model automatic rifle from Heckler & Koch of Germany also forms the basis of the new United States Marine Corp’s (USMC) M27 “Infantry Automatic Rifle” (IAR).
